Project Overview
This project began with the question: what if shoppers could design their own shopping bundles instead of navigating cluttered aisles or generic kits? I designed a mobile app concept where customers can build bundles tailored to their needs, whether that’s a Finals Survival Pack, Quick Meals, or a Sick Day bundle. A “Request a Bundle” feature gives users the freedom to suggest new bundle ideas, which retailers can track and adopt if demand grows. By merging personalization with efficiency, this concept transforms shopping into a user-driven experience that reduces decision fatigue, saves time, and helps stores adapt to real customer needs.
Key Highlights
Problem: Shoppers waste time hunting for essentials across cluttered aisles → WHY: Research and observation showed frustration from scattered items, out-of-stocks, and long search times.
Process: Ideated a mobile-first solution informed by user frustrations → WHY: Shoppers increasingly expect digital convenience, so an app-based approach bridges the gap between in-store needs and modern tech habits.
Design Choices: Custom bundle creation and request-a-bundle feature → WHY: Customers want flexibility and control; letting them build or suggest bundles ensures relevance to their unique situations.
Solution: Mobile app that puts shopping bundles in the user’s hands → WHY: Shoppers don’t just want efficiency—they want shopping that reflects their lifestyle, whether it’s family care, student life, or pets.
Impact: Time savings, reduced stress, and retailer adaptability → WHY: Customers benefit from convenience, while stores gain insights into demand patterns, creating a cycle of continuous improvement.
